Prime Location and Private Beach: The hotel’s location is consistently praised for its proximity to the airport, scenic views, and beautiful private beach with stunning fish and peaceful surroundings. This is a standout feature for many guests.(based on 1 review)

I visited with my wife and 2 year old. The sheltered beach at the hotel was calm enough for my toddler not to be frightened by the sound of the waves, as he was in Storebay. We had a wonderful day at the nearby Being with Horses tour, 15 mins away at Bucccoo and there was even a pony for my toddler to ride. The transport organized by the hotel was on time and courteous. The room was clean with a sea and garden view. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods. The lunch and dinner menus were a bit limited but still delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel qualifies as a major art venue by itself and is beautifully designed. Overall a very good experience, worth the price, which is a bit on the pricey side to be honest.

I returned to Coco Reef in July 2025, having last stayed there 20 years ago. Some might say it hasn’t changed much in that time — but for me, that’s exactly the point. Its timeless charm is what sets it apart. The location is unbeatable: a private, secluded beach with snorkelling right on your doorstep, sea-facing rooms, and sweeping views. The hotel’s scale is something you rarely see today — an enormous lobby, oversized rooms, wide open spaces, and a long, graceful driveway. Modern resorts simply aren’t built this way anymore. Yes, the property shows its age here and there, but it is immaculately clean. More importantly, the staff are genuinely kind and attentive. During our stay, the owners even had a troubleshooter on-site, actively identifying areas for improvement — a sign they care about its future. The food deserves special mention. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, with plenty of local dishes, while the restaurant exceeded all expectations (try the Mahi Mahi — unforgettable). Coco Reef suits both families and couples. For romance, hire a private boat directly from the hotel’s harbour and tour the island. For fun, hop on a party boat from neighbouring Store Bay. We took a trip straight from the private beach with local skipper Brandon — an incredible way to experience Tobago’s tropical sea life up close. In short, Coco Reef offers a rare kind of Caribbean experience — authentic, relaxed, and full of character. It’s not about glossy perfection, but about warmth, atmosphere, and memories that last. That’s why, for me, it’s a clear 5/5. I wish the Coco Reef every success in attracting more international visitors in the future and getting the investment it deserves.

A lovely place to stay but standards have dropped a little since the last time I’ve been there. Some staff were friendly others not so friendly. The beach needs to be maintained. Due to stagnant water it was mossy and a little smelly. There was moss floating in the water. Overall it was still a nice stay

I booked for their basic accommodation: garden view room with breakfast and added dinner meal plan to my booking. Exactly as you see this place online in pictures and videos, same in person. Clean, serene, quiet (loved this part), accommodating. Very helpful staff. I stayed on the ground floor. Between their pool and the beach very short walk. Shower available to wash off sand on whole body or a low tap to wash feet only. Beautiful sunsets, photo shoot opportunities every evening. Each evening, dinner was most enjoyed. The chef did a great job. A menu was given to choose what I wanted.

We stayed at Coco Reef Resort in May 2025. While the location is beautiful and the resort has a lot of potential, our overall experience was disappointing due to the condition of the property. The furnishings and appliances were old. Water pressure was low. The walls in our room were dirty, and we noticed ants on the floor upon entry of our room. The television had poor signal, and several channels didn’t display at all. During breakfast, birds frequently landed on tables and food trays, which was concerning. On a positive note, the staff was pleasant and attended to our requests in a timely manner. They did what they could within the limits of the facility.

I spent 14 days at the coco reef resort and spa in January 2025. It was my first time in the Caribbean but as a world traveller I knew what to expect and it didn't disappoint. The hospitality was second to none (I have too many names to mention) but from Esther at the front desk to Simon, Shinelle and Junette to mention just a few,as a single traveller, I felt welcomed from day one. The accommodation is dat

We are currently staying at Coco Reef for the second time after having such an amazing time last March. An idyllic setting 10 minutes from the airport set in its own beautiful bay which is lovely to swim in. There is nothing better than watching the sun set with a rum punch in your hand and seeing the flying fish skimming through the water. The staff are amazing, the food is lovely…and you’re in the Caribbean! What more could you possibly want?! We will definitely return. Thank you to all!

This is our second visit to Coco reef resort and spa. It’s an amazing hotel, with an old-world charm in a beautiful location, you couldn’t ask for better! The hotel has beautiful, manicured gardens, its own private beach as well as a swimming pool. The hotel is very close to the airport, approximately 10 minutes away, an easy walk or a short taxi ride. It is positioned close to several bars and restaurants, Store Bay, Swallow beach as well as Pigeon point. For dining we recommend the Brown Cow, a small restaurant which serves excellent food, or D Wok Spot which serves Chinese food or the Jade monkey and ****** it you want a livelier evening, there are many eating places, depending on your taste and budget. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and perfect for our needs, the a/c kept the room super cool, and the TV had a wide range of channel. We tuned into Netflix and Prime as we have a UK account, outside of this there were many channels available as standard. The staff were great always willing to help, nothing was too much trouble. On a minor downside the atmosphere in the hotel is lacking, with limited entertainment in the evenings, even just background music of some kind. The room had a kettle, but this wasn’t located next to an electrical outlet. Overall, though the hotel, location, staff, breakfast was amazing, so we will be visiting again, probably next year!
